This past weekend!!

So Check it the weekend was nice. I got some stuff done. We sold some shirts to Leaders just before the new ones drop which is dope of course. I am now just joining this collective called The Post Family. We make dope art, dope shit and sell prints and t-shirts JEAH!! Also I did a last minute show with the Crew at the little water tower and it was crazy cause Zach De La Rocha of Rage against the Machine was in the audience. I wasn't sure if was him but afterward I was leaving the spot I saw him and talked to him and his girl for a sec. I'm gonna send him some shirts and hopefully he will dig. Until next time homies.

StReSsEd OuT!

Though life never fails to take us foward, you ever just wish that sometimes you could reverse the system and go backward? I do. And I have been really wishing it alot lately...ALOT! I miss my old life. When I lived in a big city and did things my way. When I had about 3 handfuls of great friends....people I could rely on and a bestfriend. When I actually liked my job. So now I guess I'm trying to move foward and go back at the same time...I guess that'll be kinda like making a U-Turn?? I feel as if I deserve a second chance to really take things by storm...create a ripple in this pond called my life...Right now of course I'm just standing still trying to plan out my next move foward. It has to be a good move! It just has to be! I think I'll end up losing too much if it's not. Frustrating...

New Supergroup Lupe, Pharell, and Kanye track - Us Placers

I like this song and I am excited about an album of course. I digs!!

Speech by Sir Martin Rees

Nice presentation about the earth and its future. What does it mean to accept science and its benefits? It means that we have to accepts the risks as well. he also puts things into perspective concerning the human race and what we have accomplished. Its definitely worth the 17 or so minutes of your life so enjoy.

Ted.com Caption reads...
"In a taut soliloquy that takes us from the origins of the universe to the last days of a dying sun 6 billion years later, renowned cosmologist Sir Martin Rees explains why the 21st century is a pivotal moment in the history of humanity: the first time in history when we can materially change ourselves and our planet. Stunning imagery of cosmological wonders show us the universe as we know it now. Speaking as "a concerned member of the human race," Rees harkens to the wisdom of Einstein, calling for scientists to act as moral compasses, confronting the coming developments and ensuring our role in 'the immense future'."

I like this video Twista ft. Pharell

Aight so I was browsing Hypebeast and I found this post on the new Twista Ft. Pharell video. I must say I dig it. I find it hard to see Twista coming back and being able to aquire selling power, however I would like to see that I am interested in what he has to say now. I hope its different, that's all I can say. But enjoy the video!

Bronner Bros. ATL

Alright so I haven't been blogging because I have been out of town for the last couple of days so sorry folks. Anyway I'm back with some interesting pics and a suck ass time in Atlanta. (I didn't really enjoy it)

Ok so I went down to Atlanta with a barber I know, J Allen Styles to help out at his booth and sell DVDs and what not. But the whole experience was crazy. We drove down there Friday night and we were supposed to leave at 7pm but we didn't end up leaving until after 11 that night after we packed a 15 passenger van and waited for his wife to come back from the printer with the DVD covers. So the ride down there was uncomfortable as I imagined it would be but I stayed cool. However the whole ride there Allen is trying to burn this DVD and we are supposed to be helping him with this thing and it was just crazy. We get there and it was just non-stop from Saturday morning until Monday night. But there was soo much eye candy, I mean I'm not the one to stare women down like that but even I was amazed. I mean man it was incredible. Anyway the weekend was a blur and I got back on Tuesday afternoon only to look down at my ankles and realize that they are the size of two grapefruits wtf. I'm kinda worried about this shit cause they went down over night but swelled up just a little bit by the end of my work day. Damn! why do I alway get myself into crazy shit? Whatever. Oh yeah Sushi Samba is over now. It was getting to inconsistent and I am convinced that I can find alot more things to do with the time like write stuff for you guys. On to the next phase of life. Complex sent me my copy of the magazine Monday I suppose, also check out the next Complex whenever it drops. I have another illustration in there.

This is horribly funny Look at this. he's the black Rufio from movie Hook. What was he thinking?

Is this child abuse??

Check this out people...

So I heard about this new reality show that's supposed to air on CBS in the Fall. They put a group of I thinkl, 40 kids together between the ages of 8-15 in a ghost town in New Mexico and had them living on their own without adult supervision. One of the kid's parents has written a letter complaining that this may have been abuse and neglect. Her child, while cooking, burned herself on the face with hot grease. Hmm...I wonder if that parent considered that this may be abuse when she signed her child up and sent her off to New Mexico....with out any adult supervision....I mean seriously...an 11 year old??

Vagina Monologues' writer Eve Ensler speaks

Vagina Monologues' writer Eve Ensler speaks about the monologues and finding happiness :). Ted.com summary below.

Few people dare to talk about vaginas as openly as Eve Ensler, the driving force behind The Vagina Monologues, The Good Body, and V-Day, an international effort to end violence toward women. In her frank TED talk, the playwright begins with an excerpt from her now-iconic play. She shares stories from her more than 200 interviews with women about their vaginas, and talks about how sharing these stories, through the monologue and special events, helped her to reconnect with her body, her soul and the world, and find a deep happiness. "When we give in the world what we want the most," Ensler says, "we heal the broken part inside each of us."

I made it into the latest complex!!! and Swindle magazine!!!!

Now what's dope about this is that Kanye edited and thats a nice way to introduce my work to the Complex audience. Kanye's a Chicago artist as well so I don't think I would rather have it be anyone else besides Lupe or Common on the cover because in a way everything that I do is also a reflection of where I am from and the values I have been taught and learned on my own in that place. I contributed to the Complex Dozen page, its on page 35 of the Kanye side of the zine. The illustration spot is for the movie Superbad which is supposed to be really funny so I'ma check it out asap which will probably be Fri. or Sat. So check it out and get the New Swindle.

Yeah I like how it came out!!

I have an Illustration and a bio in the Swindle issue 12.

Cool Kids: Black Mags Video Shoot!!

Yeah we had fun just chillin' at the video shoot. Juan came and we were waiting to do our little cameo shots but it took too damn long so I ended up having to bounce to meet up with Caitlin to take pics of her for this shirt we are making for Ends/Wealth. It went real well despite the fact I used a Cannon SD600 for the shots, Sooo I'm hyped about the final product when the shirt finally comes out. I was supposed to go to my friend Nigel's party afterward at the Hideout but I decided not to do so because I was tired and I didn't feel like paying to get into the spot. I heard it was dope and GLC performed with Nigel and he did his own song on his own. So thats dope. Sorry I don't have any pics though. Alright I'm saying nothing else, bring on the photos.
